I apologize for not updating the blog recently. It is hard to believe that we are 3 months away from the end of the school year! The students have been talking about the weather/clothing. We have been practicing describing what they are wearing and developing our listening skills to what others are describing. The students will be doing a presentation at the end of the week on the weather. They choose a city and will be presenting as a meteorologist. I have exposed them to many different video on the TFO website (search : Minimétéo). Some students have really gotten into it. I will be using google Earth or the Weather Network as a background. Here is an example of the template.
Bonjour et bienvenue au Minimétéo__________. Je m`appelle__________________. C`est _______________________(l`hiver, l`automne, l`été, le printemps). Aujourd`hui, il_________________(ex. pleut). Portez__________________(ex : un chandail). Au revoir!
Once finished, we will be going into Social Studies. We will be talking about Canada and what we eat, wear, housing, etc. We will then research other countries in the world and compare countries. Students will be given a country to present to the class.
